Gord Jones Obituary, Death -The sudden passing of BCVFD Assistant Chief Gord Jones is something that we are obligated to report, and we do so with the greatest amount of remorse and sadness that we are capable of mustering at this time in order to carry out this obligation. As we struggle to get through this trying time, we are mourning the loss of our brother alongside the rest of our family and with the comfort that comes from the company of our closest friends.

Gord was considered to be one of the department’s first volunteers because he continued to be an active member of the BCVFD throughout the entirety of his 45-year tenure there. This kept him in good standing with the organization. It was incredible to witness the level of commitment that Gord had not only for the firehouse but also for everything else that he did in his life. This was something that truly stood out to everyone who knew him. Gordy’s colleagues in the fire service held him in extremely high esteem and respect due to the depth and breadth of his knowledge as well as his many years of experience.

As a result, Gordy was regarded as an extremely valuable resource. He was always available to lend a helping hand regardless of the time of day, and he very infrequently ignored phone calls. He was always available to lend a helping hand regardless of the time of day. No matter what time of day it was, you could always count on him to be there to lend a helping hand. You could count on him to be there at any time of the day to lend a helping hand, regardless of the time of day it was.

Everyone will miss Gord in all of the different roles that he played throughout his life, such as a firefighter, a father, a grandfather, a friend, and someone who was involved with the soccer association. Gord will be remembered fondly in all of these capacities. Everyone who knew Gord will miss him very much. A memorial service in honor of the departed will be held at the Beaver Creek Fire Hall on January 7, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon. The date and time of the service have not yet been determined. It is a Saturday that is being referred to here.
