Glen Blanchard Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that Retired Officer Glen Blanchard has died away. It is with a sad heart that we share this news with you. We are truly sorry for the loss that you have suffered. It is with the deepest sadness that we must communicate this information with you, but unfortunately, it is something that simply cannot be avoided. We are left with no other option but to move forward in this manner, and we do so despite our heavy emotions. We are sorry for any trouble or discomfort this may create. This is an announcement that we are making with a heavy heart and a tremendous deal of sadness and remorse in our hearts.
This is something that we lament to the depths of our being. Please accept our sincere apologies. After a total of 26 years of service to the city of Chicopee and the Chicopee Police Department, Officer Blanchard decided to retire from the Chicopee Police Department in 2018. He had been with the department for the entirety of his career. Officer Blanchard served with the Chicopee Police Department for a significant portion of his life before deciding to take an early retirement from the agency. The family of Officer Blanchard should know that they are in our thoughts and prayers, and that we are thinking about them at this time.
We want them to know that we are thinking about them. In addition to that, we want them to be aware that we are currently considering them in our thoughts.
