Frank Skuse Obituary, Death – On Sunday, November 20th, at his home in Flushing, New York, Frank Skuse, who was a respected member of the County Cork BP & P Association, passed away. He was 89 years old. The news of his passing has left us in a state of profound sorrow, and we would like to offer our condolences to his family and all of his other loved ones. A native of Union Hall, which is located in the county of Cork. After being a devoted and dedicated member of the association for a period of forty-three years, Frank was honored by the association in the year 2000 as our Cork man of the year.

This recognition came as a result of Frank having served as our Cork man of the year. He was the proprietor of the Kinsale tavern as well as the owner of the establishment. During the more than sixty years that Frank lived in New York, he was a major benefactor for a wide variety of causes that were important to the Irish community. These causes included nationalist, cultural, and charitable endeavors. During this time, Frank was known as “Frank the Irishman.”

We would like for his wife Bernadette, his daughters Deirdre Prendergast (Cyril) and Eileen, as well as his son Kevin, to know that we are thinking of them and sending our condolences during this difficult time (Nadia). His daughter, Davnet, who was also his child, passed away before he did. He was highly regarded as the grandfather of Eamonn, Pearse, Maeve, Declan, Conor, Ryan, and Summer, all of whom were very close to him.

On the evening of Tuesday, November 22, at 7:30 o’clock, members of the Association will get together to pay their respects to a deceased member of the group. On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from three in the afternoon until eight in the evening, a wake for Frank Skuse (Francis Skuse) will be held at the Frederick Funeral Home located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard in Flushing, New York 11358. At Saint Mel R.C. Church, which can be found at 26-15 154th Street, Flushing, New York 11354, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 23, 2022, between the hours of 9:45 AM and 10:30 AM.
