Eric Cornett Obituary, Death – Eric S. Cornett, age 50, of Connersville, died unexpectedly on November 16, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He is the son of Ernie and Donna Chandler Cornett, both of whom died before his birth on March 23, 1972. Connersville is where he was born. On November 1, 2004, he married the woman formerly known as Karen Plough in Connersville. They had been happily married for eighteen years before he died.
Eric graduated from Lee County High School, which was located in Beattyville, Kentucky, in 1990. Eric has worked as a mechanic at Cars and Pieces in Connersville for the past eight years. He worked as a mechanic in Kentucky while he was there.
He was frequently seen disassembling and reassembling motors. To unwind and relax, he would sketch, paint, play the guitar, or watch television. He also enjoyed listening to music. Eric was a huge Cincinnati Reds and other sports fan who enjoyed watching them all. He loved all animals, but his dogs Butterscotch and Reesecup, as well as his cat Oreo, also known as Big Fat Kitty Cat, were his favorites. Above all, he valued the time he could spend with his family.
His wife, Karen, daughters Graclin Sky Cornett, Hallie (TJ) Howard, Amber (Josh) Maul, and Taylor (Devan) Hobbs, son, Kenneth Scott Cornett; brothers Jeff Cornett and Dustin (Mai) Cornett; nine grandchildren; three nieces; a special uncle, Steve Cornett; and a large number of other aunts and uncles will cherish his memories.
Friends and family may pay their respects at the Urban Winkler Funeral Home, located at 513 W 8th Street in Connersville, on Monday, November 21, 2022, from five o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening. Pastor Phil Mahoney will preside over the funeral services, which will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at eleven a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Dale Cemetery.
