Earl Hazel Obituary,  Death –  As we convey the sad news that Bishop Earl Hazel, who served as the Pastor of The Church of God in Chaplin, Kentucky, has gone away, we want to offer our most sincere sympathies to each and every one of you. Brother Hazel has always been a devout and God-fearing man, and along with his devout and God-fearing wife, Sister Hazel, they have had a significant and beneficial influence on the lives of a great number of people, not only in Kentucky but all throughout the country as well. As a means of responding to the call that God had put on his shoulders, he spent the most of his life to working as a minister.

Even in his old age, he never stopped ministering to others around him, making house calls on anyone who was in need of his assistance. One indicator of this is that throughout the course of his career, he was invited to serve as the officiant at a substantial number of funerals and memorial services. The people were aware that Brother Hazel was someone on whom they could rely. He was dependable, committed, and enjoyed the company of others. He put others before himself. His steadfast devotion to God and the church was the most important thing in his life.
All of us who have had the honor of getting to know him and being in the same room as his ministry have found both him and Sister Hazel to be a source of inspiration and a blessing in our lives.
