Éamon Phoenix Obituary, Death – We are sorry to tell you of the passing of Dr. Éamon Phoenix, and we pray that, after a long battle with sickness, he may at last find the serenity he so desperately sought. On November 13, 2022, he passed away peacefully in the confines of his own house, surrounded by the people he loved and cared about the most in the world: his family. His passing was painless and uncomplicated.
He was a loving parent to Mary Alice, a cherished grandfather to Nicole, and a well-liked father-in-law to Stuart. Mary Alice was devoted to him as a parent. Alice had a deep love and respect for her husband, and she and their children would mourn him very much after his passing. Before that, they had been residing at the number 10 Malone Court location. Have mercy on his soul, Sacred Heart of Jesus, for he has sinned, and pardon him for the wrongs that he has done. He has offended you.
On Friday, November 18, at 12:30 p.m., the cremated remains of Éamon will be transported from his family home to St. Bridget’s Church on Derryvolgie Avenue in order to arrive in time for the Requiem Mass, which will commence at 1:00 p.m. on that day. Following the conclusion of the funeral rituals, the burial will take place in the Blaris Cemetery located in Lisburn. His daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and wider family circle, as well as his wife, who was left heartbroken by her husband’s passing, have all expressed their deepest condolences and grief over his passing. The entire home and all of its amenities are off limits to guests in every possible way. Flowers from family members only will be accepted, but if you so choose, donations to Cancer Research can be sent in care of O’Neill’s Funeral Directors at 98 Stewartstown Road, Belfast, BT11 9JP. Donations can be sent to Cancer Research in lieu of flowers, and they can be submitted to O’Neill’s Funeral Directors for processing.
