Dónal Doherty Obituary, Death – This morning, we were informed of the demise of our friend and neighbor Dónal Doherty on Mullachdubh/Cruit Island, and it was a piece of information that was both sad and unsettling for us to hear. He was a Donegal Tunnels Tiger when he was a young lad and worked in the tunnels in the north of Scotland. However, he is better known for his time spent fishing in the north Atlantic, and after he retired, he became a model boat builder extraordinaire. However, he is best known for his time spent fishing in the north Atlantic. Dónal was a man who possessed a great lot of aptitude in a variety of areas.
After spending his whole working life fishing in the North Atlantic, he eventually turned his attention to becoming an expert model boat builder once he retired.
In the history of our town, the late Dónal and his wife Bridie were two of the most loyal admirers of Mullachdubh bands that we have ever seen. In addition to that, they were strong proponents of everything else that was going on at the time. Please accept my condolences on behalf of not just myself but also Joseph, Mary, Martin, and all of Donal’s grandchildren, as well as the rest of the large Doherty family. We are truly sorry for your loss.
