David Roehm Obituary, Death – We are sorry to inform you that Assistant Chief David Roehm of the Thruston-Philpot Fire Department has died away. His passing leaves us with a heavy heart. The loss of him has created a void in each of our hearts. It didn’t matter what time of day or night it was, David was nearly always the first person to greet you with a smile as soon as you entered the station. This was true regardless of the circumstances. David was the first person to mentor a large number of new firefighters by taking them under his wing and instructing them on how to navigate the day-to-day operations of a fire department.

He was always more than happy to answer any and all inquiries while also managing to keep a smile on his face throughout the entire process. David was the first person many firemen had had who mentored them and instructed them on how to navigate the day-to-day operations of their job. David was not just a firefighter, but also an outstanding leader and a father figure to many of the younger and more inexperienced firemen. David was not only our Assistant Chief, but he was also a veteran of the military and a very active member for the Green River Firefighters Association.

In fact, the Green River Firefighters Association presented him with the Gerald R. Stewart Legacy Award for his outstanding commitment to the GRFA since the organization’s inception. In addition, David served as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Green River. David also belonged to the Green River Firefighters Association as a member of the organization. David was awarded a GRFA Lifetime Achievement Award in appreciation of his remarkable dedication to the organization since its beginnings. We ask that you remember David’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers throughout the day.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as you go about your day. Everyone will be informed of any new information as it becomes available.Sir, we will take care of things from this point forward! You needn’t be so concerned!
