Dave Lorius Obituary, Death – On November 6th, a great friend of ours and a fellow racer with Bad Fast Hobbies passed away suddenly. The decision to get Dave Lorius on board with Bad Fast Hobbies was an astute one. He was an avid racer, and whenever there was a need for the track to be reconstructed, he was always prepared to lend a helping hand. Nearly on a daily basis, he would enter the establishment where I worked and make an offer to lend a hand to me in stocking shelves and tidying up the place.

I found myself looking forward not only to the conversations we had but also to the time we got to spend together. The hours that we spent together will always have a special place in my heart. Dave didn’t enter the races with the intention of winning or becoming the next driver to be sponsored by a company; he just wanted to have fun. He had come here to get away from the routine duties of his day-to-day life and spend some time with his racing family.

Dave’s primary goals were to have a wonderful time and make some new friends who were interesting and exciting. Dave always had a grin on his face and gave off the impression that he was having a good time. He was a fantastic ambassador for both the pastime in general and Bad Fast Hobbies specifically. Dave, you are going to be sorely missed by a lot of people.

Dave, you were the greatest that there has ever been! You were the kindest and most humble person I have ever had the pleasure of exchanging words with. I still can’t believe you’ve disappeared. Bad Fast Hobbies is going to have a difficult time moving on without you! You were a tremendous help, not only to myself but also to everyone else who was present at the track. Dear Friend, I pray that you find eternal rest. It is a relief to know that you are no longer experiencing any pain.
