Dave Beecher Obituary, Death – On Thursday, November 10th, it was revealed that Dave Beecher, who served as the club secretary for Waveney F.C., had passed away. It is with a sad heart and enormous grief that we share this news with you at this time. Dave held the position of club secretary for well over twenty years and was the driving force behind the organization throughout that time. He was a caring and upstanding individual who was committed to his work and gave it his undivided attention and effort.
Over the course of more than 20 years, grassroots football has been subjected to a variety of shifts and challenges, and he has led the club through a significant number of those transitions and challenges. Dave was not only a beautiful man and a good friend to everyone who knew him, but he was also a highly committed football person, not only inside Waveney F.C. but also in local football. Dave was taken from us far too soon, but he will be missed by all who knew him. Both the Lowestoft and District league and the Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League had him serve on their respective committees.
He held the positions of vice chairman and fixture secretary for the Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League. Dave was a participant in the league that represented Lowestoft and the District. Dave was someone who devoted a lot of time and energy to football. The amount of tributes that have been pouring into the club is evidence of how well respected he was across all different levels and formats of the game. Because of his deep knowledge of the local football scene, people respected him despite the fact that he had time for everyone.
But what’s more important is that he was a devoted husband and father, and all of our prayers and thoughts are with his wife Jill and the rest of the family at this time. It goes without saying that Dave’s passing will leave a hole in the hearts of everyone involved in the local football community, and it is essential to remember that he was a fan of the sport. In an act of respect, the club will be postponing all of its games that were originally scheduled for this weekend. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the various league secretaries as well as the Suffolk County FA for their sympathy and understanding during this difficult time.
