Daniel Garbett Obituary, Death – On October 31, 2022, Daniel “Danny” Garbett, who was 33 years old at the time of his death, passed away. When we heard the news, it broke our hearts and now we have to share it with you. treasured child and son of Brian Garbett and Nancy (née Daye), who were responsible for his upbringing. Dedicated uncle to Elizabeth, Aiden, Tarek, Kaysun, Allie (Malek), Ben, Zach, Garrett, Brooklyn, and Eleanore Chin. Beloved older brother of Kimberley (Rashad) Chin and Katie (Kirk) McKinnon.

Also remembered and missed by his grandmother, Jean Garbett; as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful friends from a wide range of locations, both near and far. Also remembered and missed by his grandfather, Robert Garbett. Before Danny was born, his maternal great-grandfather, Edward Garbett, his maternal grandmother, Rose Daye, and his maternal grandfather, Ray Daye, all passed away. Edward Garbett was Danny’s maternal great-grandfather, and Rose Daye was Danny’s maternal grandmother.

It didn’t matter where Danny went; he always managed to find a way to make friends for life. He was able to forge deep connections with everyone he met, whether it was at work, a wedding, or while he was traveling. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went. He was a fierce competitor throughout his life and excelled at a wide variety of sports, but soccer, snowboarding, and snowmobiling were his absolute favorites. He even won a national championship in snowboarding.

His love for his family and friends invariably demonstrated the generous and loving nature he possessed, and he showed that he was capable of returning this love to those he held dear. According to what he had said in the past, “I would rather be a broke fool with a full heart than a lonely one with a big bank account,” which means that having a full heart is more important to him than having a large bank account. This is the essence of Daniel Raymond Garbett as a person, and it perfectly captures his personality.

At the conclusion of the private viewing that will be held for the family at the Connelly-McKinley funeral home, the family will attend the graveside service that will be held at the Northern Lights Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Peace Regional SPCA in Danny’s memory. He placed a high value on the well-being of all creatures, particularly those in need.
