Damon Laurito Obituary, Death –  Damon Laurito, 48, of North Providence, died unexpectedly on November 17, 2022, at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. Damon Laurito was born on December 29, 1973, to North Providence’s Mark Laurito and Smithfield’s Carol Laurito-Chirichella. Damon grew into a wonderful man, husband, father, son, brother, and uncle over the course of his 48-year life. His memory will be carried on by Latonja Katrice Laurito of North Providence and his five children, Joseph Mercandante of Boston, MA, and Nadia Laurito of Cambridge, MA. Damon Isaiah Laurito, Roman Laurito, and Gian Laurito all live in North Providence.

Mark and Nancy Laurito of Coventry, Carol-Laurito Chirichella of Smithfield, and his younger brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Chandra Laurito of Providence, survive him, as do three nieces, Lia, Aria, and Cassia Laurito, and step siblings Candy Carney, Jason Carney, Michael Lomastro, and Mark Alllenson. Damon will be remembered for his golden heart and loving, playful, and gentle soul. Damon was well-known for his warm embraces. His faith and family provided him with everything he required in life. He was a wonderful father who encouraged his children in all of their activities, especially sports.

He loved music as well as various automobiles and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends the most. He was extremely generous and enjoyed sharing everything with his friends and family. One of his greatest joys was assisting others. His gentle and loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Damon built Damon’s Wine and Spirits into a thriving business over a 20-year period. He worked with his father and uncles Sal and Bob at North Providence Tire and Auto. He also dabbled in music, producing several CDs and music videos. The funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 E. Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, on Wednesday, November 23, at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Providence. The funeral will be held privately. Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home will host calling hours on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
