It has been established that two people perished as a consequence of a collision that took place on a highway in Howell Township on Sunday afternoon. The cause of death was determined to be a collision between two vehicles. Their identities have been made public. Collin Cramer, age 22, of Fowlerville, and Eugene Glavin, age 71, of Roscommon, have been named by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office as the two people they believe are responsible for the crime.
A collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 96 on Sunday around 2:30 in the afternoon. The collision occurred just east of the exit for Highland Road. The preliminary inquiry came to the conclusion that Cramer was driving westbound on Interstate 96 in a 2005 Honda Civic when he went off the roadway, entered the median, and collided head-on with Glavin’s 2013 Ford Escape. When the collision took place, both drivers were ejected from their vehicles and landed on the ground.
It was said that Cramer had died while they were on the site looking into the incident. Glavin was unable to be removed from his vehicle on his own, and he passed away as he was being transported to the hospital from the scene of the accident. Because of the ongoing investigation, the motorway was had to be closed for a period of time that was close to four hours long.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and it does not appear that speed was a factor in the collision at all. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Despite this, there is ongoing investigation on the intake of alcoholic beverages as well as illegal narcotics.
