Colin Glover Obituary, Death – Colin Glover, a former student at Hewitt-Trussville High School and a basketball player for Birmingham-Southern College, passed away on Friday, December 16. Chief Eric Rush of the Trussville Police Department stated that he was brought to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead there shortly after arrival. On their Facebook page, Birmingham-Southern College Athletics made the following announcement: “Today, the Birmingham-Southern community mourns with the Glover family on the passing of men’s basketball student-athlete Colin Glover.”

In a joint statement, Athletic Director Kyndall Waters and the Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Graves referred to Colin as a “terrific student, a hard-working player, and an amazing teammate.” “We are praying for him and his family, particularly his twin brother Cam, who is also a member of the BSC Men’s Basketball team,” he said. Glover was a member of the Birmingham-Southern Men’s Basketball team and played the position of guard. Glover was chosen for the Southern Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll during the 2021-2022 season. He also played in 19 games for the Panthers during that season and was a member of the team that ranked in the top 30 of three statistical categories: three-pointers attempted, offensive rebounds per game, and total rebounds per game. He had been on the Dean’s List at UAB before transferring to another school. In addition, he was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in basketball while attending Hewitt-Trussville High School.
