Charles Snow Obituary, Death – who resided in Monticello and was 92 years old, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the age of nine o’clock in the morning at his home with his family by his side. He was the son of Charles T. Snow and Florence (Key) Snow, both of whom passed away before his birth on February 3, 1930 in Dana, Illinois.
Charlie spent the majority of his life in Monticello, where he was born. After 42 years of service to the former White County REMC in Monticello in which he held the roles of Lineman, Foreman, and Supervisor, he took his retirement on March 1, 1990. Charlie was a former Worshipful Master of the Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F. & A.M. in addition to being a member of the Christian Church in Monticello and the Masonic lodge there.
He and his late wife, Suz, spent many winters in Florida, dividing their time between Punta Gorda and Charlotte. They were also charter members of the Monticello Square Dance Club in Monticello, as well as former members of the Hoosier Cruiser Motor Club in the state of Indiana. His biological parents, Charles T. and Florence (Key) Snow, as well as his stepmother, Avis Snow, his wife, Barbara J. “Suz” (Wood) Snow, and his daughter, Denise J. Snow Buckles, all passed away before Charlie.
The Miller – Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello was the location for both the Celebration of Life service and the visitation that took place on November 14, 2022. The ceremony was presided over by Elder Larry Crabb of the Monticello Christian Church in Monticello.The interment took place at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in the unincorporated area of Monticello.
