Charles McLin Obituary, Death -On November 14, 2022, at the age of 81 years old, Charles Clinton McLin, who had been a resident of Tarkington Prairie all of his life, passed away. His passing took place. Before Charles was born on November 18, 1940 in Cleveland, Texas, his parents, Oree and Annie Purswell McLin, as well as his brother Dickie McLin, sister Debbie McLin Poling, and brother-in-law Johnny Gene Head, all passed away.
Charles was named after his grandfather, Charles McLin. Oree McLin and Annie Purswell McLin, Charles’s parents, both passed away before he was born. Charles was their son. His survivors include his wife, Kay McLin; daughters Edie McLin Lang and husband Mark, and Amy McLin Boie and husband Erik; sister Sylvia McLin Head; brothers Travis McLin and wife Karen, and James McLin and wife Johnnie Mae; sister-in-law Sharron Everitt; brother-in-law Len Poling; and grandchildren Carter Lang and Liz Spivey, Hattie and Marcy Lang, and Lyvia and Natalie Boi
The following individuals have volunteered to carry the casket during this service: Richard McLin, Michael McLin, Mark McLin, John Head, Troy Wheeler, Kent Havard, Jacob Keith, Randy Baden, Phillip Bundy, Richard Maynard, and Lee Shelton. It has been decided that Rick Patterson, Ron Bartee, Don Purswell, Joe Bazar, and George Baker will serve as honorary pallbearers at the funeral.
At the Pace-Stancil (chapel) in Cleveland on the evening of Sunday, November 20, 2022, the family will welcome friends beginning at five in the evening and continuing until eight in the evening for a visitation. There will be a memorial service held at the Pace-Stancil on the morning of Monday, November 21, 2022 at eleven o’clock (local time) (chapel). Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the final interment will take place at Oak Shade Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie. The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers, expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to The Tarkington Student Foundation.
