Catherine Dunwoodie Obituary, Death – Catherine Dunwoodie has reportedly passed away. During this time, one of the things that I am having a very difficult time doing is coming to terms with the reality that Catherine Dunwoodie is no longer here with us. She has been a wonderful example for me to follow throughout the entirety of my life, and I hope to be just like her someday. When I arrived in Cincinnati, she was one of the first people to greet me and make me feel like I was at home. She was one of the people who helped me adjust to my new environment. When I was looking to make a change in my professional life, she put me in touch with a wonderful company just at the time when I was looking to make that change.
Working alongside other individuals has always struck me as a truly remarkable experience, and it continues to do so to this day. It ended up being the wisest thing to do to take her recommendation. She served as a reader at our wedding, and I seriously doubt that she has any idea how much gratitude and joy this has brought to me. In fact, I seriously doubt that she even knows she did this. She never ruled out the possibility that we could get back together at any point in time. When I got back to Lakeside, she was there waiting for me with a pleasant smile on her face. She was the unifying force that brought all of the disparate elements together and made the endeavor possible as a whole. She was a member of my family, but more importantly, she was someone I could look up to and model my behavior after.
She was always one of my closest friends throughout my entire life. To all appearances, I should be awake, but it feels as though I should be dreaming at the same time. The topic of what each of us ought to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner came up just now during our conversation. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in her family and close circle of friends at this time. This includes Dennis Dunwoodie, Graham, Barbara Allen Keyes, Jim, and Nathan Sheets. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well. I am sorry for the loss you have suffered.
She set a wonderful standard for others to adhere to, and as a result, a significant number of people admired her and looked up to her as a role model.
