Carolyn Brown Obituary, Death – Carolyn Brown, who was known as the “queen of Oak Ridge,” passed away yesterday in her home. She had lived there independently for the majority of her life, so it was fitting that she was the one who took her life. It is extremely difficult for me to break the news to her because she had spent the majority of her life in that location. Her odometer read 88 years of life lived.
The details that have been communicated to us indicate that her passing was sudden and that she did not experience any pain prior to her passing. We are relieved to find out that she did not struggle with a serious illness or feel any pain in the days leading up to the time of her passing away.
Carolyn exemplified the qualities that are indicative of a life that has been lived to its full potential, such as dignity, graciousness, compassion, laughter, friendship, and a spirit that is both kind and generous. As a consequence of this, a significant number of people found inspiration in her as a source of motivation. Everyone will grieve her passing in their own unique ways.
I told her on multiple occasions that one of my goals in life was to age with the same kind of dignity that she did, bringing joy to my loved ones and the people around me right up until the moment that my own life came to an end. I also told her that this was one of the things that I wanted to accomplish before I died.
In our thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come, we will remember Carolyn’s daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, other members of her extended family, and the many friends and community members who were devoted to her. We will also remember the many people who were devoted to Carolyn in the community. In addition, we will keep in our thoughts and hearts the many people in the community who were devoted to her throughout her life.
