Bruce Lawson Obituary, Death – On July 14, 2022, Freedom resident Bruce Edward Lawson passed away while at his home in Freedom. Bruce Edward Lawson was a resident of Freedom. On September 10, 1955, in the city of Brazil, Indiana, Jess Edward and Betty Irene (Shepard) Lawson became parents to their first child, a son. He was given the name of his mother at birth.
Owen Valley High School awarded Bruce his diploma in 1975, and Indiana Wesleyan University conferred upon him a bachelor of arts degree in 1979. Bruce graduated from both institutions. He had worked at Otis Elevator for the previous 38 years until he finally reached the age of retirement and became their Lead Estimator.
Bruce is survived by his three children, son Craig Lawson (and his wife Mandie), Tiffany Lukowski (and her husband Kyle), and Brittney Knight (and her husband Kyle); his four grandchildren, Payton Lukowski, Taylor Lukowski, Ethan Knight, and Andrew Knight; his sister Rosalind Carter; and a close friend named Aaron Sanders. In addition, Bruce is survived by a close friend named Aaron Sanders. Before Bruce was born, both of his parents had already passed away, as did two of his brothers, Rick Lawson and Tony Lawson, and two of his sisters, Julia Manues and Sheila Butcher.
Services for the deceased will be held at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, which can be found at 105 North Montgomery Street, on the evening of Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at seven o’clock in the evening. Pastor Bill Grandi is going to act as the master of ceremonies for the event. On the morning of Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at eleven o’clock in the morning, the body of the deceased person will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will commence at the funeral home on Tuesday at four o’clock in the afternoon. and continue till the beginning of the festivities at seven o’clock in the evening.
