Brandon Pridgen Obituary, Death – Brandon Pridgen has passed away unexpectedly. Brandon was welcomed into the world and our family on May 28, making him a part of both. His maternal grandparents were Gloria Jane (Shank) Pridgen and Edward A. Pridgen, both of Harrisonburg; Edward A. Pridgen and Angela, his wife; and Edward A. Pridgen. His paternal grandparents are deceased. Angela is Edward A. Pridgen’s other wife, and she is also his wife. Edward A. Pridgen and Angela, his wife, are overjoyed to become parents for the first time to their child. The news that his maternal grandmother had passed away was shared with the community. The unfortunate news is that his grandmother lost her battle with illness and passed away.
After completing his education at Buffalo Gap High School and Bridgewater College and receiving his degree from the latter institution, he submitted an application for employment at Bridgewater College and was subsequently given a position there. In the past, he had completed his education at Buffalo Gap High School as well as Bridgewater College. Maynard W. Pridgen and Barbara Pridgen, his maternal grandfather and grandmother, as well as his uncle Dennis Shank, all passed away before he did. His mother’s side of the family was Pridgen. He was the only member of his mother’s side of the family who had lived to adulthood.
In addition to his father, Brandon is survived by brothers, Travis McCray of Mt. Solon, and Josh McCray and wife, Carolyn, of Staunton; a step-sister, Marllen Murillo and spouse Ricardo of Honduras; step-brothers, Tony Murillo and wife, Noemy of IL and Dibio and wife, Isabel; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Bertha Shank of Mt. Solon; aunts and uncles John Shank, Tammy Halterman, Everette Shank, Jeffrey and Marilynn Shank, and Denise Cassidy, all of Mt. Solon, Dana Shank of Churchville, Maynard McCray, Jr. of WV, Sarah Stewart of WV, Scott McCray of OH, and Tim Fisher of WV; nieces, Eleanor, Shala, Wanda, Gianna, Dilaney, Dhalexa, and Darely; nephews, Brandon, Hansel, David, and Javier; numerous cousins; special friends, Tim Puckett, Stephanie Bennett-Caricofe, Sue Terry and Marisela Baquedano
