Bob Lehman Obituary, Death – Bob Lehman, 67, died unexpectedly but peacefully at home on November 18, 2022.
Bob Lehman was born April 6, 1955, to Kenneth and Charlene (Lee) Lehman. On Noble Avenue and Norswiss Farm, he lived with his aunt, uncle, and cousins. Farming taught him hard work and different ways to complete a task. RLHS 1973, UWEC 1978. In 1978, he married Kathy (Erickson) and began working as a claims adjuster for North Country Adjusting. He volunteered as a Barron County Deputy Reserve and respected law enforcement.

He almost retired in 2017, but kept driving for the Rice Lake School District. Bob started coaching basketball in the 1980s, by design or by chance, and hasn’t stopped. From ‘D Bracket’ City League to High School JV, he coached at every level. His three children still watch games from the sidelines in northwest Wisconsin. His teammates and coaches became an extended family whose influence went beyond the gym. While he’s always been “somewhat” interested in cars, he and Kathy have recently become Jeep fans. They took many top-down drives through the northwoods.

During these drives, Butch and family stopped at ‘The Joint’ for raw potatoes and to chat. Another auto-pilot destination was the Palace in the Popple, where I could hunt whitetails and chat in the shack. Grandchildren. Grandchildren captivated him. He quickly became a fixture at his grandchildren’s activities, continuing a family tradition from the 1980s. His 44-year-old wife, son, and daughter-in-law survive him. Erick and Anna (Haus), Mallory (Musil) and Aaron, and Kristen and Alex Drost (though Kristen isn’t a Drost yet); 6 grandchildren, Kellen, Riley, Zander, and Brekken Lehman; Jordy, and Kaylee Musil; Erickson in-laws, Mitch (Vicky), Mike (Sandy), Mark (Amy), and Merrill; Erickson brother-in-law, Merrill Rob His parents, Kenn and Char Lehman, in-laws Reynold and Joyce Erickson, grandson Kyle Musil, sister Gloria Schoenhals, nephew Ted Schoenhals, nephew Shawn Weeks, and sister-in-laws Kris Calhoon, Dawn Erickson, Amy Erickson, and nephew Kristopher Erickson predeceased him.

Rev. Arthur Bergren and Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate the funeral at Rice Lake’s Bethany Lutheran Church on November 26, 2022, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Orchard Beach Cemetery. Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the funeral service. Rice Lake’s Appleyard’s Home for Funerals is helping the family.
