Billy Rodriguez Obituary,  Death – We regret to inform you that a former officer with the Seguin Police Department has passed away. It is with a deep sense of loss that we must share this news with you. Before his retirement in 2015, Officer Billy Rodriguez counted his thirty-six years of service with the Seguin Police Department among his proudest accomplishments. During that time, he did his job for the City of Seguin with a lot of pride. On the first day of Officer Rodriguez’s employment with the city of Seguin on December 1, 1978, he was assigned to work in the city’s dispatch center.

This was Officer Rodriguez’s first day on the job. Officer Rodriguez has worked in a variety of capacities over the course of his career, including stints as a municipal court officer and an officer in charge of leading efforts to reduce criminal activity. He helped the community by volunteering his time and energy and did not anticipate receiving anything in return. The loss of him will cause great suffering for those who he cared about, including his friends and his family. A memorial visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, and will be followed by a prayer service and call honors presented by the Seguin Police Department at 3 p.m. on the same day. Nick Carrillo, a deacon, will preside over the service as the officiant.

Visitation will continue until 4 p.m. At a later date, there will be a private burial service held in her honor. During this trying time, we ask that you keep Officer Rodriguez’s family in your thoughts and prayers. They are in our thoughts and prayers as well. Officer Rodriguez, we would like to pay tribute to you and express our gratitude for the service that you have rendered to this community. I hope that you can find the peace that passes all understanding, sir.
