You are going to be deeply missed by many Ben Gillis. You loved your smoking butts and were a great teacher after you and Shelby Anne Smith surprised me with my own Rec Tech. Hard to believe we just messaged each other not long ago. This is not goodbye but we will see you soon. I know your up there smokin for everyone. Rest In Peace my brother. ~ Jeremiah-Shelby Smith
Please tell me this isn’t true. Your heart was so big. You never said no to anyone in need of help. Remember when you helped me make the perfect Bloody Mary’s at Country Side when we would bartend together. You said “Pickle juice is key!” Or when you stepped in to help me move my daughter to Madison? She was so cranky that day but you knew just how to deal with her and had her laughing most of the time. Yeah, you were that kind of person, Ben Gillis . My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to your family as they will endure a loss that is so deep. This just shatters my heart. I’m so sorry my friend. ~ Lory WestBen
Ben Gillis GoFundMe says; Last night on 11/19/2022 Ben Gillis unexpectedly passed away. Leaving behind His wife, Dawn and 3 beautiful children ( His step daughter Addison, Grace ,2, and Anthony 7 months) Ben was also a survivor of Brain cancer. Ben and Dawn owned Rubbin Butts and blowin smoke food truck. That is where their main and only source of income came from. He was the king of the smoker and took so much pride in his creations! Unfortunately with his passing Dawn not only has to grieve the loss of her husband but now has to figure out a way to pay for his funeral and make Ends meet. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart to leave consider donating to this beautiful family. Every little bit counts. Dawn selflessly served in the us army for 8 years. It’s our time to give back to her. Please help us take the financial side of this off her plate for now so she can grieve the loss of her husband and worry about taking care of those beautiful babies.
