Amy Anderson Obituary, Death – My mother, Amy Anderson, passed away yesterday due to lung cancer-related complications, and the following is an announcement that I am posting with a heavy heart to let everyone know about her passing. On Thursday evening, Mom passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family, friends, and those who provided her care. Mom fought her cancer with the characteristic tenacity and spirit that she is known for, and she was diligent in her treatments and physical therapy.

As a result, she was successful in beating her cancer. During the course of the previous few months, she came to the realization that the time she spent with her friends and the one-of-a-kind connections she forged with each of her caregivers contributed significantly to her level of happiness. She looked forward to being Ellie’s “Nana” more than anything else, whether it was the nightly video calls from the bathtub, watching Ellie learn how to swim and ride a bike, or going shopping for the perfect little outfits for Ellie. She loved it all.

Because Mom had been making gradual but consistent progress throughout the year, her sudden deterioration came as a surprise to all of us, and it continues to take us all by surprise even now. A little more than a month ago, she went to Palm Springs, and this picture was taken there. You’re looking at it right now.

In the following few weeks, we will provide information about the services that are being offered. For the time being, if you have any inquiries, or if you have any photographs, videos, or anecdotes about Mom that you would like to share, or if you simply want to get in touch with me, please contact me at the addresses listed below. I will do everything in my power to respond to you as quickly as humanly possible.
